Better Knex Steering Apparatus

A couple years ago, I made a knex steering column from an old instruction manual. It was fully functional with a working steering wheel and decent turning ability. Its major con was that it was so weak and would often break apart. Therefore, if I was to implement a steering apparatus into my super car, I knew that I would have to completely redesign a steering apparatus. This new one is much stronger and has much more turning ability. Unfortunately, I have not installed the steering wheel, so there is no control of the steering yet, but all in good time. Like I mentioned in a previous post, I will periodically be able to add to my super car, and this is only the very first piece of the puzzle, so expect more pictures of my progress in the future!

  1. you know what, i will give you this one :D it is extremely useful for pull-cars and is actually quite resistant, so i can keep it going in a straight line, or keep it going left/right. and the 2 bars that make it turn are incredibly unique, the first one moves only a little bit so i only need to connect the steering wheel quite loosely, and the second one acts as a brace/barrier to stop the wheels getting stuck
